I'm doing some wedding planning, and I'm thinking I'd like my colors to be royal blue, silver, and white. In deciding on a bouquet, I want to know if there are any deep blue flowers that exist out there to use. I've searched all over the internet, but nothing I find seems to strike me. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Ok, I need to add that I don't need to go to extra trouble to breed my own flowers. And if you know of any dark blue flowers, can you please tell me what they are?

Can I even plant them right now? I'm a complete gardening scrub, but I want to grow these flowers and have them in full sun on my patio/balcony. I don't even know when the best time to plant them is, I'm assuming earlier in the season, but I didn't have a chance to. Would they be alright growing indoors near the window when it gets colder? Ugh, I wish it was easier to learn about this. There's too much information out there and it's hard to find the information that I want!

@Marianne: I actually have that book! I wanted to start a container veggie garden this year, but ended up having no money to spare for it. I'll look through it again, and see what information on flowers they have in there. I know it's mostly devoted to edibles.
It's too late to start them from seeds now. If you can't find the varieties you want in seedlings wait until next spring. None of these will grow indoors. Petunias and carnations need full sun all day. Begonias need shade. Put the begonias in a separate container.

I am new to daylilies. Last year, I purchased a small one and planted it. This year, it's got a lot of blooms on it, but they only bloom for one day. Is that normal? I have lots of Asiatic lilies in my yard and their blooms last quite a while ... weeks! I have heard that anything outside of orange and yellow daylilies are not technically daylilies. Is that the problem? Mine are kind of a salmon pink with yellow throats. My neighbors have the orange and yellow ones and they seem to have been in bloom for quite a while.
