Lunaria Money Plant i need some help with a plant for my grandmother?**kinda urgent**?
ok so my grandmother has a money plant (also known as lunaria annua) and she wants to know things like where and when to plant it, what kind of soil to use, how to transfer it,so on things like that.any information would be very helpful. thank you
It sort of depends on where your grandmother lives.
Lunaria is an annual (hence the name annua).
It lives for one year, sets seed, then dies. She can save the seed from it.
If she lives up north, she'll need to wait until spring.
Warmer....plant seeds now.
But, in any case, Lunaria likes to be in filtered sun.
It isn't picky about soil types.
Really easy to grow.
Hope that helps,
V
Purple Palace This is driving me crazy! In the Sims 2 the hobby vase....?
From simswarbrobe, I got the purple predesting hobby chooserchanger vase thing from Paladin's Palace, and it's driving me crazy because I know the file is unziped and that the download is IN the game, but WHERE the HELL do I FIND the damn thing?!?!
It's so annoying!
IN the game, not on the site.
MERCI beaucoup si vous pouvez m'aider.
GRRR
Do you have the expansion pack Free Time? The vase, in order for it to work, requires for Free Time to be installed on your computer. If you do have Free Time installed, then did you put the unzipped file into your Downloads folder (the one that you have to make)? If you did do all of that, then look in the buy mode and look in the section that has the vases and things like that. Or, you could look in the miscellaneous section in buy mode.
White Coneflower A couple years ago I purchased a white coneflower and for the first 2 yrs it was white, now it's pink & white.?
Someone told me you have to deadhead coneflowers otherwise the new colored ones will revert back to the original pink. I did not deadhead mine and am wondering if this is why they turned pink or what else would cause this. Thanks in advance.
There are two types of Echinacea that are considered to be Heirloom varieties; the common Purple Coneflower and White Swan (which is white with an orange center). These would probably be genetically stable. But other varieties such as White Lustre (white with a green center), Jade (white with green center) are newer hybrids and may revert to original colour over time. Their offspring would certainly be different from the parent if the seeds are viable.
Soil Ph sometimes affects flower colour in small amounts. Echinacea's natural habitat is a little on the alkaline side.
Heuchera Purple If wishing to plant Purple Leaf Heuchera, how far apart can you plant them to fairly quickly cover an area?
and how quickly does this cultivar of Heuchera grow together?
and any further tips on planting this would be appreciated.
Thanks for your answers
i planted quite a small heuchera about this time last year and i would say it is now about 30cm diameter but im not sure how far they spread in total. they are supposed to be a shady plant but i find mine doesnt seem to mind sun or shade
I have heard that the purple leaf heuchera does the best, but am unsure.
Thanks for your answers!
Heuchera 'Creme Brulee' is a beautifully coloured plant, and does best in sun, unlike some of the others. Its leaves are goldy orange, and look fantastic. It's a fairly new variety, and its colour is better in sun. http://www.shootgardening.co.uk/sitePlant.php?plantid=3508&name=heuchera-creme-brulee
Otherwise, Heuchera 'Sparkling Burgundy' http://www.waysidegardens.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StoreCatalogDisplay?storeId=10151&catalogId=10151&langId=-1&mainPage=prod2working&ItemId=49628 and 'hollywood' both do well in sun. http://www.paradisegarden.com/shop/product.php?id=PGN0250&browse=1 For darker foliage, try 'Obsidian', it's almost black. http://plants.thompson-morgan.com/product/6672/1 'Caramel' is a pretty plant too, as mentioned elsewhere, though mine prefer some shade - depends on where you're based - http://www.whiteflowerfarm.com/31384-product.html
