Poppy Seeds Rare Interesting flowers / flora of Britain?
I asked about rare flowers previously, to which I've had some great answers, now I'd like to know about intriguing species (rare or common as muck). By this I mean peculiar habitat, length of time it blooms/survives (fleeting...?), perhaps it is particularly hardy or fragile, an interesting origin, and so on.
Good examples include: Bardsey Apple, which was at one point isolated to a single tree on A Welsh island,
Apple trees in general, because their fruit contains the seeds of a different kind of tree to which it came from ( thank you Q.I. )
The Lady's Slipper, which is shaped so that Bees can only crawl through in one direction, almost lobster cage-esque, and is very rare.
Poppies. For obvious war and narcotic connotations, and they are too becoming endangered.
Thanks in advance.
Oh, and wonderfully, whimsically named plants are welcome - and encouraged!
As are particularly anti-social, poisonous and otherwise malevolent species...

Arum maculatum has an astonishing number of dialect names: Lords and Ladies, Cuckoo Pint, Jack in the Pulpit, Wake Robin, Cows and Bulls, Dog's Dillies, Adam and Eve, plus others too vulgar to mention. It is regarded as poisonous but in his classic book "Lords and Ladies" the late Cecil Prime was unable to find any cases of a person being poisoned by it.
A plant I love to find is Herb Paris. It is our only native member of a family called the Trilliaceae and is a pretty good indicator of ancient woodland. Its Latin name, Paris quadrifolia, has nothing to do with the French city, but its four petals are exactly equal to each other , i.e on a PAR with each other.
Wheatgrass Wheat What is the best wheat to use for wheatgrass? I have an abundance of hard and soft wheat I use for grinding?
my own flour for bread. I 'm not sure if these are to be used for growing wheatgrass or if I need something more specific. My apologies...I am new at learning the process
anything with chlorophyll in the grass should work. Barley grass is good too.
I know that I have to exercise and diet to lose weight but does drinking Wheat Grass help with weight loss?
Wheat grass can be used as one of the natural ingredients for a colon cleanse along with celery, carrots, beets, radishes, kale, parsley, garlic and a few more things.
Wheatgrass is also thought to help aid digestion substantially, alleviate constipation, and act as a strong liver cleanser.Wheatgrass works by filling nutritional gaps in the diet and cleansing the blood. It makes for a better metabolism.
Wheatgrass is a powerful detoxification agent and will immediately react with toxins and mucous in the stomach before being absorbed into the blood, where it will wash away toxins stored throughout cells and fatty tissues.
Perennial Plants List Dog friendly perennials and shrubs?
Would someone recommend a website that specifically lists plants and shrubs that are and are not dog friendly? I would like to plant several in my yard this year but I am not sure which are poisonous. I would like to plant Sambucus Black Lace, Dalechampia dioscoreifolia (Bow Tie vine), and some different varieties of Heuchera.
