Egg Plant Can I Bake Stuffed Egg Plant in 425F oven?
I'm doing traditional stuffed egg-plant which normally takes 45mins at 350F but my oven is going to be at 425F - anyone got a recipe for stuffed egg plant that bakes at that temperature and if so for how long. No guessing please, my dinner depends on it! Thanks
BAKED STUFFED EGGPLANT
Wash eggplant. Cut in half and remove pulp within 1/2 inch of skin. Dice pulp and mix in: 3 tbsp. minced onion 2 sprigs minced parsley 2 tbsp. minced celery 1 c. chopped tomatoes 1/4 c. chopped green pepper 1 c. soft bread crumbs 1 tsp. salt
Spoon mixture into empty skins. Bake at 425 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes until soft and lightly brown.
Anyone have any good recipes for egg plant stir fry?
I had some from PF Changs earlier. It was amazing. I need to know how to do that!
5 Asian eggplants, about 2 pounds
3 tablespoons peanut oil
1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 green onions, white and green parts, sliced on a diagonal
1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and minced
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 fresh red chile, sliced
1/2 cup chicken broth
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon rice vinegar
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
Thai holy basil and fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish
Cut the eggplants in 1/2 lengthwise and then slice crosswise into wedges, no more than 1-inch wide.
Heat a wok or large skillet over medium-high flame and add the oils; tilt the pan to coat all sides. When you see a slight smoke, add a layer of eggplant, stir-fry until seared and sticky, about 3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Remove the eggplant to a side platter and cook the remaining eggplant in same manner, adding more oil, if needed.
After all the eggplant is out of the pan, add the green onions, ginger, garlic, and chile; stir-fry for a minute until fragrant. Add the broth. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch until the sugar and cornstarch are dissolved. Pour the soy sauce mixture into the wok and cook another minute, until the sauce has thickened. Put the eggplant back in the pan, tossing quickly, until the sauce is absorbed. Garnish with sesame seeds, Thai basil, and cilantro and serve.

Blue Shrimp If you fed a flamingo artificially colored blue shrimp and algae would it turn blue?
Number 1, you said artificially colored blue.
Flamingo feathers obtain their wonderful rosy pink color from pigments in the organisms they eat. The flamingos’ feathers, legs, and face are colored by their diet, which is rich in alpha and beta carotenoid pigments.
Carotenoids in crustaceans such as those in the flamingo diet are frequently linked to protein molecules, and may be blue or green. After being digested, the carotenoid pigments dissolve in fats and are deposited in the growing feathers, becoming orange or pink. The same effect is seen when shrimp change color during cooking. The amount of pigment laid down in the feathers depends on the quantity of pigment in the flamingo’s diet. An absence of carotenoids in its food will result in new feather growth that is very pale; the existing pigment is lost through molting.
Flamingos filter-feed on brine shrimp and blue-green algae. Their beaks are specially adapted to separate mud and silt from the food they eat, and are uniquely used upside-down. The filtering of food items is assisted by hairy structures called lamellae which line the mandibles, and the large rough-surfaced tongue. The pink or reddish color of flamingos comes from carotenoid proteins in their diet of animal and plant plankton. These proteins are broken down into pigments by liver enzymes.[14] The source of this varies by species, and affects the saturation of color. Flamingos whose sole diet is blue-green algae are darker in color compared to those who get it second hand (e.g. from animals that have digested blue-green aglae).[15] Zoo-fed flamingos, who often lack the color enhancer in their diet, may be given food with the additive canthaxanthin.
Anyone know anything about blue spotter sea hares?
I bought one today for my 14 biocube.
It's with:
2 osellaris clowns
A cleaner shrimp
3 blue legged hermits
My question is,is there any risk of it dying adn releasing any toxins in the water?
Sea Hares have veracious appetites for algae so you need to ensure it has enough food to survive (which i would doubt in a tank your size). Depending on the species they can release a coloured dye when under stress or threatened. There have been no documented cases of fish death or tank crashes as a result of a sea hare dying and releasing toxins however in a small tank a large hare could pollute the tank fast as it decays.

OK Here's the story morning glory.
I dyed my hair a bright red color. My hair has a red sheen to it now but my roots have a red halo effect in the sun and I really really don't like it.
I heard ash tones take out red, I just bought today Medium Ash Brown from Clairol Perfect 10. My hair is currently like a chocolate brown/ soft black color but too much red in it for my liking, will this dye take the red out?
